We purchased the land, built 2 classrooms, bathrooms with flush toilets, handed out 60 paquetes escolares, purchased tables (12) and chairs for small students (36), and installed blackboards. You might want to mention that this project was possible because of the generosity of one woman, Regina Johnson, and the project was completed in memory of her late husband and late mother. Also, she’s the one who wanted to donate money for the chapel. | |

Santa Monica is a very overcrowded school in a rural town with significant economic and gang problems. They have 245 students and only 3 proper classrooms and 2 makeshift classrooms. TLAU is sponsoring a project to replace the makeshift classrooms with proper brick structures. | |
